How to size your group
Count riders, not invitations
Use the number of people who will actually ride. For weddings and conferences, that is usually less than the full guest or attendee list.
Leave a buffer
Plan about 10 percent extra seats for last-minute additions, bags on laps and comfort on longer rides.
Let luggage decide
Airport and cruise trips need more space per person. A group of 12 with large suitcases may need a minibus instead of a Sprinter.
Consider more than one vehicle
For 60 or more people, two coaches are standard. Staggered departures can also shorten wait times at busy pickups.
